A long road that winds through the slopes of the Medio Campidano is the prelude to a glimpse of the coast that is unique in the world.
Arriving on the beach of Scivu, in the territory of Arbus, is not easy, but once the effort is overcome, a palette of colors and shades opens up before the eyes of the traveler: the dense green of the shrubs, the yellow ocher of the sand dunes that dive directly into the emerald green water of the sea, the intense pink of granite rocks. It looks like being in a spell, where the colors take on the rarest and brightest shades.
Six hundred hectares of vegetation dotted with gorse, sea lilies, lentisco. A WWF protected oasis that is an authentic monument of nature. The silence is muffled, the voices and the daily chaos of the city are just a distant memory. The screeching of the seagulls is lost in the distance to the waters overlooking the Balearics, echoing the undertow of the waves.
Scivu is good for the head and the heart. The scent of salt, the open and bright sea, without borders and without limits, thanks to which everything seems possible. And it is a perfect place for anyone looking for a few moments of relaxation or an opportunity to play sports. From snorkeling to diving to trekking, Scivu offers many fun possibilities.
Twelve kilometers of regenerating walk separate the beach from the tip of Capo Pecora (that is, Cape Sheep). A path made up of mule tracks where the Mediterranean atmospheres alternate with the Saharan dunes, while all around is only sky and sea.
