Cooking Class in Tramonti, Amalfi Coast
Require Info
The deep blue sea of the Amalfi Coast hides a green heart. Entering the paths of the Lattari Mountains, characterized by ancient tracks, terraces and lemon groves, you can reach the wildest heart of this wonderful land.
Tramonti is a small inhabited town where time passes without frenzy. To welcome guests, you will find small vineyards, chestnut and lemon groves. The same ones that surround the Felicia farmhouse.
It’s an ancient family farm, where under a shady pergola - just beyond the entrance gate – the table is already prepared for a banquet. Next to it, overlooking the vegetable garden, is the outdoor kitchen decorated with the majolica of the Amalfi Coast.
This is Felicia's kingdom: where the chef delights her guests and prepares tools and ingredients for her cooking classes. Drawing on her experience in the prestigious Hotel Caruso in nearby Ravello, Felicia prepares tasty recipes with a sure hand. Pasta, strictly handmade, is one of the house specialties.
You start with water and flour. On the work table you begin to prepare the dough that will give every shape of pasta: from the classic fettuccine to trofie, passing through more original formats, invented by the hostess.
Felicia puts all her creativity into cooking classes, preparing typical dishes of the territory, with zero kilometer ingredients: from lemon, the king of citrus fruits of the Coast, to tomatoes, vegetables and cheeses of the area. With them you can season first courses and pizzas cooked in a wood oven.
Felicia’s cooking classes are a deep immersion in the culture and farming habits of the Coast. A land of fishermen and sailors, that in the hinterland becomes a fascinating treasure chest of agricultural culture.
