Lemon Path

Flying farmers. That’s what they’re called because of their incredible agility as they climb the lemon groves to handpick the citrus fruits, which are the golden treasure of the Amalfi Coast.

An ancient path winds its way between the rocky cliffs that divide Maiori from Minori. From here, you have a sweeping view of the valley: your gaze drifts across the colorful majolica domes and the deep blue of the sea. We climb, step by step, up the rocky slope of this corner of the Coast. Walking along the Lemon Path, you discover one of the world’s most “glamorous” places from an entirely different perspective.

Baroque churches, majestic in style, are built on the mountainside, their gaze fixed firmly on the sea. Castles that seem straight out of a Brothers Grimm fairytale. The scent of citrus grows ever stronger. The pergolas, covered in greenery, welcome the traveler with their fragrant embrace.

The Amalfi Coast lemon, the "sfusato" (so called for its elongated shape), reveals itself in all its splendor. Eaten fresh, it’s fragrant on the palate; sipped from a small glass, it delights with the intense aroma of limoncello; refreshing and satisfying, like only a cool lemonade can be after a long walk.

Surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Coast, you can indulge in a moment of pure time suspension. Perhaps enjoying a slice of lemon or a glass of limoncello in the company of one of those flying farmers.

Or, seated at a table under the cool shade of a pergola, while the aromas of traditional Amalfi Coast dishes whet your appetite. Here, beauty is right at home.
