A land full of stories. Campania is rich in mythical facts which, over the centuries, have told of its genesis and foundation. Unique testimonies in the world, which today we find in the depths of the waters of Baia, the heart of the Phlegraean Fields, with its submerged city; or in the vast symbols that, around Naples, tell us about Partenope (siren) who watches over the city since it was little more than a fishing village.
Mythologies that often carry with them the symbolism of the sea, that Mediterranean land where Ulysses risked losing his mind due to the siren song; or where the great Dutch engraver Escher was so enchanted, to the point that he decided to get married right on the Amalfi Coast, on the banks that look at the views of the legend.
The myth and the sea; travel and culinary traditions; a sense of wonderful bewilderment that welcomes travellers. In this “30” issue we tell you everything that makes Campania a place where thinking and memory remain anchored to each other. Where the sea and the paths that surround it draw a profile that has its roots in the dimension of myth itself.
